A Harey Biker

Mrs CBL and I were in Aberdeen this morning doing some chores.  Driving along the Beach Boulevard I spotted this sculpture of a hare and stopped to photograph it.

It is one of forty sculptures on the Big Hop Trail that have been placed in and around the city.  This  year’s fundraiser is for Clan Cancer.  The hares are a focal point to celebrate the charity’s commitment to supporting people affected by cancer.  Clan Cancer has been supporting folks in Aberdeenshire for forty years.

This sculpture is called Harey Biker and was designed and painted by local artist Ian Matthew and very impressive it is too. I hope to photograph/blip more of the hares over the next few months.
