A close thing

I nearly stood on a moth this morning on my way to work. Suddenly noticed it crawling over the pavement in front of me, so it just escaped being squashed underfoot. I know nothing about moths really, but the pavement didn’t seem the obvious place for it to hang out. It was looking a bit tattered. Mr Google tells me its a type of Apamea.
