Highrise Peacock

There are lots of butterflies in the garden at the mo, but they’re very camera shy. This Peacock Butterfly was soaking up the morning sun on top of a tall Conifer shrub. 

A busy morning of chores. The brilliant gas engineer was here at 8am, working for two hours in the attic, and helped me unearth a VERY large suitcase dating back to the 1990s when I used to commute to Norway, regularly travelling with 32kg of luggage. The case was still full of “vintage” clothes, soon to appear on eBay! Decanted 20kg of bird sunflower hearts. Took a chance and hung out several loads of washing, despite the sun disappearing and dark storm clouds gathering.

A slightly less busy afternoon watching Tour de France, supermarket delivery and a visit from the District Nurse to change a dressing for Dad. Three weeks ago he decided to take a tumble in the middle of the night!
