Rijsttafel

Rijsttafel.

For dinner, we had a rijsttafel. Literally a "rice table," this is an Indonesian meal consisting in small portions of a large array of dishes. It was easily the best meal we've had in Amsterdam.

This morning we took a train to Haarlem where we spent the first half of the day. It is a charming town with a sizable medieval center and is more low-key than Amsterdam. After our return to Amaterdam, we walked around a bit more, before dinner in the De Pijp neighborhood. Tomorrow, we travel back home.
