Perfectly Formed

Dahlia flowers can be so perfectly formed. I love the shape of this one.

We stopped at a friend's house on the way to the beach house. He has a beautiful garden of flowers and an even better vegetable garden; he keeps us in veggies during the summer but this time he gave us a basket of raspberries. My raspberries at home are done now so it was nice to have some today for breakfast. 

This weekend the marina where we moor our boat is having its big yearly celebration.  The Garibaldi Days schedule includes musical groups day and night in the big event tent, crab races, food trucks, craft booths, a farmer's market, and a parade on Saturday morning. There isn't much parking so we may have trouble getting close to our boat. Oh well, it is nice to see the local economy get a big boost.
