Meeting history

We took mom about 1.5 hr away to visit the town of Harpers Ferry. It incorporated in the 1700s and is distinguished by a few things:
- it sits at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers and it’s kind of cool to see the Shenandoah flow into the Potomac (which in turn flows through Washington and on to the ocean). See extra
- it sits where three states meet: Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
-it was home to one of the first abolitionists, John Brown, who met an untimely death for his beliefs before the civil war even started.

And on the featured pic, my mom meets a slice of history by way of an Amish couple :)
