Rocca Scaligero

Sirmione is a municipality in the province of Brescia, in the Lombardy region. The historic center is located on the peninsula of Sirmione in Lake Garda.

This tourist resort is built around the imposing castle (Castello) Scaliger an example of 15th-century Italian architecture. At the extreme tip of the peninsula are still some Roman ruins. The town also has a small harbor, where numerous small, multicolored sloops moored which one can make a trip on Lake Garda. There is a main street that leads to the highest point of Sirmione, where one can behold. Lake Garda in the eastern part of Sirmione a path that leads along bubbling sulfur springs.
