Planting out

I've spent the whole day in the garden today, planting out, among other things, a whole range of winter greens. I planted them protected by a net cage which keeps the birds out. Exhausting but very satisfying and an act of faith that the weather will be good enough; the slugs won't eat them as tiny plants and the caterpillars won't chew their way through the mature leaves later on.....
My shot is the final planting job today - some lettuces in a container - I've left it a bit late to do this, as the plants were very pot bound, but I hope they'll survive the transplantation!
