Moorhen

After church this morning I had a quick visit to Maxwell Park to find a blip for today. There are so many head high reeds around the pond that in some areas is just impossible to see any birds.

I did see some female mallards .... where have the boys gone? No gulls or tufted ducks just the two swans, two moorhens and a coot family with nearly full grown chicks.

Spent the afternoon clearing out the car in preparation for its service tomorrow. Alarm will be needed as I'm due at the garage at 8.30 where I will wait till the car is ready. Radio. book, IPad and phone ..... I won't be bored!
