If you can't beat them...

Meadowsweet ( Filipendula ulmaria )

I have mentioned recently how wet it has been, well today beat all others so far.  There was a yellow warning for heavy rain from midnight to midnight..  The rain wasn't particularly torrential but it was persistent.  It was raining when I got up and rained steadily until the light was fading.

I wasn't going to go wandering anywhere looking for a blip, so what you get is a telephoto shot of Meadowsweet taken through the window.  The light patch behind the flower is a garden table.  The name Meadowsweet is because in the 16th century, it was used to flavour mead and originally was known as Meadsweet.
