Lots of blue

Noisy and gregarious is a good description (Birds in Backyards webpage) of the behaviour of Blue-faced Honeyeaters. This afternoon a flock of 20 or so were swooping around our house, momentarily alighting on the Norfolk Island Pine opposite, all the time calling noisily to each other. We see them throughout the year, though I feel they are more numerous in winter when many migrate north (to our area) to enjoy the warmth. Just like lots of humans.
