Whoopee!

The tomatoes are doing great - they just need to ripen now! I am trying to convince myself that there is a slight tinge of orange appearing on some of them!

There are four plants, two Sweet Cherry and two Marmande, a beefsteak tomato. Never grown one of these before, but I was given the seeds so thought it was worth a try.

Just now we are getting three courgettes and three strawberries a day! The strawberries are just about over, but the courgettes are going strong.  And the hens are laying an egg each a day, so that's three eggs too!

The peas are filling out, we've got plenty lettuce and more coming on, the onions are doing well and the garlic is drying.  Lots of carrot seedlings all through the veg beds to try and deter the carrot root fly. I don't know whether it will work, but it's worth a try.

We don't have the space to grow potatoes but a very healthy crop has decided to establish itself in one of the compost bins! Be careful what you throw out!
