Orchid

We have a collection of window pots which, for most of the year, resemble dried out potpourri that the dog might have dragged in from the garden.
Then, occasionally, they burst into life without prompting, or attention.
This is one of them. 
Strange plants, and very impressive how they seem to summon beauty from nothing.
