Barberini

A return to Potsdam which we discovered last year.
After a wander round to Sansoucci park we hopped on a boat which toured up the Tiefer See and then the Havel to WannSee passing the most wonderful old and new houses by the water and lots of castles, under the Bridge of Spies which was the link between West and Eastern Germany.
We then split up and whilst N went to the hotel spa I scampered into the Barberini which has the largest collection of Monets outside France. There was a Dutch Impressionist exhibition, Clouds and Light plus a chance to see the main collection gathered by a rather rich industrialist, Hasso Plattner.

Sadly only had an hour and a half til closing., needed twice that to absorb all the beauty.
Back on the train and straight into a horrendous thunderstorm which stopped all the trains so I was a tad stranded but made it back to the hotel for nine… oops back for Vietnamese. We are creatures of habit!
