Ishy took back the highest seat, though she prefers the one Guinness is in, so maybe he's showing her who the boss is, not the other way round...

Apparently hierarchy in groups of cats is fluid and can change daily based on unclear (to humans) criteria. Does it mean cats in groups choose democracy and take turns to 'lead'? Or just that groups of individuals don't have a set structure? Anyone who ever lived with more than 2 cats knows that it's impossible to predict all their interactions and it's fascinating to watch them enter and leave various combinations of social groups that appear and disappear...
