The day

started badly with the plumber turning up to say he couldn’t do the job today (or only partly) as he has car problem. Now fixed (possibly maybe) for next Thursday. The stairlift then refused to work, fortunately an engineer was in the area and managed to sort the problem.
Went for afternoon walk and half expected to get wet but the rain has only just started.
