Summerwine Magic

This lovely little vehicle is used for the 'Summerwine Magic' tour, a 10 mile journey round the film locations used for the the BBC comedy 'The Last Of The Summer Wine'. It shot past me as I slogged up the hill this afternoon.

It was a good day to start with. Caught up with some correspondence first thing, two loads of washing done and line-dried before lunchtime, and an early-afternoon appointment at the hairdresser's.

Things went downhill after that, when my phone rang as I was queueing in the post office to buy some stamps. Our solicitor. No completion date on the flat. The buyers' solicitor wants yet another form to be completed, this time by the freeholder, the RSPCA. (A form that should have been complete at the beginning of the purchasing process, but hey ho...) Our solicitor can't track down the appropriate person at the RSPCA, had we ever been contacted by anyone? Nope. Spent ages when I got home ploughing through the documents from when we bought the place, and then phoning the solicitor with a possible contact. The buyers' solicitor seems to be doing things back to front; not sure whether to think they're downright incompetent, or  employing delaying tactics for some reason...
