Kiwi fruit

I'm back on my food air miles thing.

Kiwi fruit, so I shouldn't be surprised that they have come halfway around the globe - but they are also grown closer to home. Italy grows nearly as many as New Zealand (NZ = 625k tonnes/annum vs Italy = 522k tonnes/annum). Greece grows about half the quantity of NZ and even France and Portugal chip in with some. The other ones on display were from Chile, again not exactly the closest.
