Little Grebe

These cute little birds keep well away from the edges of the water but spotting much ducking and diving is an indication that the little Dabchicks are about and it just a case of following one in the camera viewfinder and then taking a quick pic from a fair distance away.  

These wee birds are not like geese or swans who swim around gracefully ..... they spend most of their time under the water searching for a tasty morsel or two.
