Yesterday evening I received a message. “Do you remember ……?” Well, I’d forgotten that Jane said when she was here two weeks ago that she might come again this weekend with the little ones.

I did a very early supermarket shop in Kendal to make sure I had the essentials and a few treats. The rest of the morning I tidied and cleaned.
