A Fire in the Sky…….

…….. early this morning. Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning? These plants are growing beside the river. The flaxes, when in flower, are a magnet for Tui, our native songbirds. There was another hard frost….. crisp grass to walk on. Probably not quite as cold as yesterday. Friend Cathie came for lunch today. She brought a stunning cat themed quilt she has been creating. It is lovely and I love the detail in it. Some future lucky recipient will be delighted with such a beautiful creation.
Later this afternoon I visited friends Sue and Peter. It was good to have a catch-up. I came home with a bag of their home-grown lemons.
