Eyes of the Storm 1963

We started off the day with a birthday breakfast at Dishoom in Shoreditch.

It was a beautiful morning so we walked through the City of London, over the Southwark Bridge and along the south bank to the Garden Museum at Lambeth. It's a gorgeous little museum with an interesting history.

Enjoying the good weather we walked to the National Portrait Gallery for the recently opened exhibition, "Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm".  What a joy to see these photos taken by Paul McCartney in those months between December 1963 and February 1964 when they became international super stars.

We finished the day with an exceptionally good dinner at Delamina East.
