Free as a Bird

Looked out the kitchen window this morning to see this fine fellow standing on the wall, usually when I attempt to take a photo they run away in a mad panic. They seem to have the most sensitive of hearing and if you touch the blinds they are off so this is by no means perfect but it was taken through the glass and as I pressed the shutter you could see he had heard something and a second later he was scurrying away. Now my knowledge of birds is limited so I'm sure you will correct me if I'm way of the mark when I say this is a Red Legged Partridge...unless you lovely people know better.
