Local primary school

The children from the local school that we visited were out in force when we arrived. It was a crazy experience...they were all reaching to shake our hands, give us high fives, taking us to see things, looking at our cameras (especially mine!). We played some games with them, got to see their classrooms and what they were learning. Surprisingly (not) the boys all went off to play football and it was nice to see some of the Kenyan boys wearing the football tops that we had given them! We ended up out on their playing field singing songs, playing games and just making friends!

That evening, Moses hosted a Maasai celebration for us which consisted of sacrificing 3 goats (I didn't watch) and lots of singing and dancing too! I loved sitting there listening to the children sing for us and in general just feeling happy! We sang them some 'traditional' songs, including 'Blaydon Races' and 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot' as well as 'Wonderwall' and a suprise from 3 guys singing 'Afternoon Delight'. I took a few videos that night too, as a few teachers were feeling under the weather (we didn't know what was to come...) and wanted them to be able to see it!

I have made a photobook, which is viewable in PDF format but also ebook for free, that you can have a look at in order to see more of my photos accompanied by text if that interests any of you!
