A colourful pair

I came across these while out with Bertie and liked the colour of them, quite unusual in these woods. The photo also shows that the birch trees are loosing some of their golden leaves already!
The extra was another discovery in the woods and it was very obliging, staying still while I tried to photograph it without scaring it away.
