"Ó Guð vors lands"

I never knew until today that the Icelandic national anthem was composed in Edinburgh. "Ó Guð vors lands" makes up in spirit and melodic force what it perhaps lacks in drive and energy. I wonder if we Scots will ever have to erect a plaque to mark the spot of the creation of our own anthem, "You Cannae Shove Your Granny Off A Bus!"
