An Autumn Meadowhawk

A new dragonfly for me.  Maybe he came because he was attracted to my wee meadow! They are the last dragons to appear, sometimes staying until September.  Most appropriate though as, according to the Celtic calendar, today is the first day of autumn and the Festival of Lughnasadh, the start of the harvest season.  With our cooler mornings now there is a hint of autumn in the air and I love it.  Gift#212: a new friend in the garden.
