Swiss National Day

Together with a local friend, we hiked from our place all the way up to Alpe Cardada. 1300m altitude in 4 hours. Sweaty but very scenic trails in the dense “rainforest” on paths with granite stone slabs and granite stone stairs.

Wonderful views, a long and tasty “Swiss National Day” lunch out in the terrace of the Colmanicchio restaurant with friends (not all walked up) was the reward.

Back down with the cabin, another bubbly at the lake and then just feet up watching the fireworks from the terrace.
