Bone from an owl pellet

Our first day in Sheffield with Rachel and the kids.  We got a reasonable start and a trouble free journey.  Kat had been visiting for a few days so we had the afternoon with all the family together.

On a previous visit by Kat they had visited a  "falconry" centre.  Sterilised owl pellets were on sale so a number had been purchased and kept for when we were all together.  We had an interesting afternoon dissecting the pellets, identifying bones and teaching the grandkids more about the skeletons.  Clickychick having been a radiographer was ideally suited for that.

My blip is part of a small rodent pelvis showing the ball and socket (well the socket anyway) where the femur would have been attached.
