At Ruuho islands

Today I did a boat trip to Ruuho islands, which is in the middle of the Suur-Saimaa lake area. A boat trip took one hour to one direction. There was a strong wind in open water areas, so a trip was somewhat bumpy ride time to time, but it was worth it.

The islands were born at the end of the ice age and are really beautiful with their high and lush ridge formations. Nice paths to walk, fresh air, silence and tranquil atmosphere. Very relaxing. Also one geocache, which was one reason for me to go there.

Main image is from the lagoon, where is a harbour and very nice beach, several campfire spots and sauna. Campfire spots were also around islands. Four more images in extras.

Worth to check the map and see the shape of Ruuho Islands.
