Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Tomorrow's job ...

.... will be to take down the curtains and the poles.

Just before our visitors arrived, we got a few bits up on the wall in the garden room - they're too low, but they are hung on existing hooks.  After we've decorated*, we'll hang them higher.  But in the meantime, it'd be nice to see the full hangings, instead of losing the edges behind the curtains.

We'll replace the curtains with simple blinds.  But we're unsure whether to have them within the window recess or in front - the advantage of in front being that there's no disturbance of the multitude of clutter ornaments on the sill when pulling the blind down.

Might be easier to decide once the curtains are gone.

We went to Enniscorthy today, found a wonderful shop that sells almost everything you could need, including pots for the garden, castors for W to put on some workshop equipment, wood varnish, an electrical heat pad.  And next door but one was a shop selling made to measure blinds.  We will be back.

We also stocked up on essentials at the supermarket.

* looking around the room this evening, thinking about the blinds, I noticed just how grubby it looks - definitely high on my list for repainting.
