One daze at a time...

Maybe we like the misery

Couldn't have asked for a better second day of camping. It almost didn't rain, we almost got a sunny spell or two and we almost didn't have to repitch the tent (but in the end had to, because the sudden and unexpected bout of easterly wind that collapsed half the tent last night ceased suddenly and now the default "blowy as fuck" setting is back to its usual westerly direction - northwesterly to be precise, to spare us any risk of excess heat in the gusts of wind).

I am quite confident that my position as Chief Family Holiday Organiser is secure. Which is a good thing, because as long as we have kids in third level education, this all we'll be able to afford.

And judging by the number of Ferraris and Maseratis on the streets of Clifden, it looks like I have picked the destination favoured by the very wealthy.

Their tent may be a bit sturdier than ours though.
