A week or so ago a mate and I decided to go to the Inverness v Queen’s Park football match which takes place tomorrow. But when he got wind that another friend of mine might be coming, he withdrew making lame excuses. Apparently he doesn’t like my other friend. This has happened before. So I end up feeling that I am choosing one pal over the other. To some extent the easiest way out would be not to go at all. However I am persevering. If peace can descend on Northern Ireland, maybe we have a chance.
