Folds

This little beauty is a Red Morning Glory. Such detail in the petals showing how it must have been folded away in its bud.
I spotted it from afar as I was sitting having Victoria Sponge in the gardens of Lambeth Palace, whilst listening to songs of the 1940s. I visited 2 months ago and it was great to see how the early summer beds had developed into late summer with rudbeckias, heleniums, Michaelmas daisies etc. A lovely way to spend an afternoon. Thanks to Biker Bear for hosting Flower Friday
