Suffolk Day 4: The Port of Felixstowe

More industrious in large
Back blip
Extra: Im stroking the friendly young gull

Our last day in Suffolk, and we visited Felixstowe before heading home.
The seafront seemed rather tired, although it was amusing to see detectorists out, and a Ferris wheel going up, and we found a young gull that was FAR too friendly (we both stroked it...). We then walked beyond the pleasure beach, following the sirens of the Port of Felixstowe, and found seeing such a vast and busy site rather awe-inspiring.
The end of the peninsular is home to The Landguard Fort (the current buildings date from the 18th Century), and 'though we didn't enter to take a look around, we did enter for a drink at their cafe...

An excellent little holiday! :-)
