Gone fishing!!

Volunteering has it’s moments and first thing today the gardening team had a different challenge. Could we remove a dead creature from the Eleven Acre lake which had been reported by a visitor.
We loaded up the boat , life jackets, oars and a fishing net. The team of six slide the boat off the trailer and launched into the lake. The three female members of the team grabbed the life jackets and insisted they were the fisher folk for the day. They soon removed a large deceased pike, no indication as to cause of death.
Then it was back to pruning.
