"This Is What Happens..."

...Sometimes when an existing tree (Lemon Scented Gum) has a 3million dollar house built around it..at the end of our street..today..

...I thought it worthy of a blip as we thought every time we walked past this beautiful home which has taken at least 3 years to build - why did they leave that beautiful tree there and tried to build around it?..

...It has been hanging over the new home since its inception - we love trees and have had these same trees in our gardens, but know what they can do, and it apparently it has already - done - and could only become worse.. and so the owners I dare say are doing the right thing in removing this tree today..but look at the expense there, 3 teams of contractors, plus road closure, crane hire @ about $500 an hour from memory, the huge chipper - which made short work of it - and the traffic management contractor...

It is a holiday home...very beautiful and overlooks the river..and the old windmill...

My flat Murray river shots will have to wait until tomorrow...sorry about that...
