Spotted this little fella at a neighbours house, looking to see if the rain had stopped; the answer was resounding no (and for the rest of the day)..

An Audience
..with The King today. The hospital had made an error in missing out on giving him one of his drugs (steroids)  for a few days - which had made him feel sick apparentley. His treatment plan is quite complex and regularly being adapted, and nurse turnover is quite high my daughter tells me, so I can see why it was missed.

He was very sleepy when we arrived so I just sat by his bed stroking his hair and spoke softly to him for a while, then after a while his eyes were wide open and he was looking alert. A bit later he started play wrestling with me which was great fun, but unsurprisingly he eventually became very tired, grumpy, whiney, argumentative etc, especially with a couple of nurse visits to perform various tasks . It really underlined to me what a difficult time he's had over the last year and with his more recent battle with cancer.  

Evensong
Excellent singing at evensong tonight by the visiting choir  - an informal collective  by invite "Praeclari Cantores" travelling from all over the country - pictured after the performance (which was in the quire as ever) - see extra.
