I had barely unpacked when it was time to leave the country once again, this time to sunny England for a Dunscore Birdwatching trip on the community bus. We were off to Leighton Moss RSPB reserve at Silverdale. Here is the largest reed bed in Northwest England, an important habitat for bitterns, beaded tits and marsh harriers. We did see a pair of marsh harriers mating.. and plenty of avocet and black headed gulls, all with chicks.

Now on the bus home, everyone a bit tired, and for three of us it's straight on to a meeting which will last for most of the evening. Hopefully I shall get time to do some food shopping tomorrow :-)
