Music on the Fringe

Started most conveniently with a classical musical recital on accordion. Ryan Corbett played for an hour, with excellent but not flamboyant style. The JS Bach English suite and the Albeniz transcribed from harpsichord, the last three pieces written for the accordion.

Venue is a big basement room with ventilation, 30 people in the audience in a space with room for 60.

Out later to the craft fair at St John's at the West end of Princes Street. Some good things, though no turned wood, which I keep hoping for. Jennie Loudon character dolls were special.
Across to Johnny Walker, watched the Binns clock automota at 7 minutes past the hour, bought some whisky, not from JW but from the 'world's smallest whisky bar' next door. Good stories from the guy bar tending.

Dry all day. 18C high. Intermittent sunshine.
