Day at a Time

Holland

Holland Farm has a number of historic and interesting buildings and is visible from all around. It's still a working farm on Papay (Papa Westray). We decided to make our annual visit to Papay today and I'm glad we did. The wind is already quite lively and is forecast to be stronger still overnight. We were the only passengers on the ferry this morning and on the return at 1:30pm. The island was really quiet and peaceful. The sea was a bit bumpy.

We walked about 7 miles of the island stopping for coffee at the tearoom near the airstrip. The sea was its usual turquoise and the sand white. You can just see them in the extra - oxeye daisies at South Wick, Papay.

Back for an afternoon of pottering.
