Spot the Blackbird

Back Blip from Akaroa

I headed off to Akaroa after the pool. It was a good trip over with not much traffic.

In the top shot you can still see some snow on the hill top. The Kererū (Wood Pigeon) was enjoying the new leaves of the Kōwhai tree. The Helleborus was flowering well this year.

The wind from all the storms that Akaora has had lately didn't course too much damage to the garden. The poor Lemon tree has had all its flowers and a number of fruit blown off. Also a number of the pot plants had blown of the deck onto the garden. Most I could save and hopefully they will grow back again. Everywhere was so wet.

It started raining in the evening and all had cleared by 11pm.
