Unappealing

A few months ago Fiona kindly brought back a bottle of Scotch whisky from Amsterdam for me. We thought we’d open it for a nightcap. The stopper split in half leaving the bottom section (see photo) in the neck. What to do? Fiona came up with the excellent idea of waiting until I had finished the bottle of gin - which has been quite a long time - then carefully remove the stopper and decant the whisky into the empty gin bottle. The result? Disgusting looking whisky!
