Greenbottle blowfly

This is Lucilia seratica
My book says it is one of Britain’s most common flies.
The metallic green is attractive but it isnot much loved
as it has to be kept away from food.

If you find it off putting try the extra.
It is just something a little different. Blippers have to find 365 images each year so they are always on the lookout for slightly unusual images. This one caught my eye.
