My topsy-turvy life

Long service award

The end of an era today as it was Tony's last day in Pathology...after nearly 47 years!

In researching for his retirement speech I came across the original advert from his first job placed in the Wrexham Leader back in 1976 advertising a position in the "newly built Pathology laboratory" at Wrexham Maelor. Needless to say we are still in that building and Pathology, and Transfusion in particular, at Wrexham is synonymous with Tony's name.

So, it was a morning at work for Tony's send off and then a trip home and to nursery for Owen's leaver's play. Songs, dancing and a presentation to mark the end of term as they all start preparing yo go to school in September. We couldn't really take pictures but did get one at the end of Owen with his best friend*.
