Wounded warrior

Loki had a huge lump on his cheek yesterday. Must have been about a quarter the size of his head. We managed to get an appointment at 5.30 in the evening. Which was handy as it took most of the day to catch him and imprison him in the carry box. Not sure who was most traumatised. Poor cat was obviously in a lot of pain.

Vet diagnosed yet another abscess probably to do with fighting with other cats or rats. So this morning it was an early drop off at the vet for a general anaesthetic and have the abscess lanced and drained.

Picked him up this evening and he’s so much happier. Back to being his friendly, well mannered self. We need to keep him indoors for 24 hours as the wound is left open to drain, so borrowed a dog cage from a friend. so that we can keep him in the porch. Loki seems to be quite happy in it.
