Tragic

Had a nice morning walk along the promenade in Portobello with Martin, where I blipped this pot.

I’m upset with today’s news of the wildfires on Maui in Hawaii, especially, since we were in Lahaina in April on our cruise. The town which has been near enough totally destroyed was beautiful, and famed for its lovely banyan trees down by the harbour (see extra). Watching the videos of what has happened is awful, because I recognise many of the streets and buildings. Lahaina is also where we took the Atlantis submarine excursion, which was a highlight of our trip.
