Gates galore...

...on a beautiful bike ride...

Decided we had to make the most of a sunny day, so set off on the bikes after breakfast. Uphill to a coffee stop at the Windmills Café, then down the other side to the Trans Pennine Trail. 

The top shot is on the way up the hill to the café, and the lower one is an overgrown sheep pen on the trail.

We headed towards Windscar at the far end, then turned round and retraced our steps to the Magic Wood Café on the trail for a cuppa and a bacon butty ;)

Off the trail and back up the big hill to the windmills, then a final whoosh downhill to home. About 17 miles in all 

A productive day since - I've washed, ironed with my new purchase and finished my book, while Roy has been working in the garden!
