Garden visitors

There's been heavy use of our garden feeders by a flock of sparrows and at times some magpies getting in on the act.
Are there more magpies around than there used to be?? There certainly seems to be more in our wee patch of the Granite City. 
Today the sun  shone and it was warm and humid. Not for long though - it looks like it's going to be wet over the weekend .
