Sally Mair - Loving life

Flying fish !

These lovely things were a purchase at a church sale in the days when we had such things, they are very fine embroidery on silk and can be viewed from either side. The lady who donated the one on the left, on seeing I had bought it said she had another at home and would I like it. That is the one on the right. She bought them in China in the 70s, I think they are beautiful and they have pride of place in the dining room.
Ali had an appointment today so brought Josie over to have lunch with us. As ever she was very happy and safety lunch went for a nap for over two hours. Just after she woke her mum came back then Katy and the girls arrived to pick up their new school bags which seem to have been a success, luckily. They all played together for an hour or so while we all had tea and chat. Today is Katy and Jon's 16th anniversary.
Colin was cooking tonight, so we had a stir fry to work our way through some of the veg mountain building up in the fridge. Home grown beans and courgettes, church grown garlic and potatoes. It is nice to enjoy the home grown veg with our own raspberries and blueberries for dessert.
Friday again, have a good weekend everyone and thank you for your lovely comments for Freddie and my sweet peas yesterday.
